Welcome Message from Grand Master Noah Kim

Hello, I am Noah Kim Founder of Korea Jonsu Hapkido.

Hapkido is a traditional martial art representing Korea with the authentic martial art spirit.

The true significance of Korea Jonsu Hapkido is to integrate the excellent martial art handed down by our ancestors and to inform all those, who study it the importance of loyalty, filial duty, politeness, manner and believe through wisdom and martial art spirit.

Hapkido is practiced in the presidential security office, the National Police and used by special forces and marines aboard. In over 60 countries around the world Hapkido skills have been used as a necessity of the military. It is a high quality martial art, that has proven its excellence and has become famous not only in Korea but also on the world stage. Furthermore, Hapkido is a highly mental practice that can understand individuality of everyone, understand the difference from others, learn the diversity in unity and lead to a better society life. And finally to become a dignified human being.

However, our own authentic martial art is chaotic and divided into several divisions now, and some of them have been using imitations and subjective fake and wrong techniques.

So Korea Jonsu Hapkido will be responsible for the martial artists who can and want systematically pass the 2500-year-old royal court martial art of Korea to our future generations.

Our organization now has more than 70 branches in Korea and more than 250 overseas and dojangs and has a total of around 10,000 people. We run a regular leadership training courses every year. They are available to anyone in the world who is interested in the courses.

On this base our organisation should spread the spirit of Hapkido to the world which emphasises communication and harmony, patience and moderation, and make a better place full of humanism in our society. This is responsibility and role of our Korea Jonsu Hapkido.

I wish leader of Hapkido, students, and anyone who loves Hapkido in the world health and happiness. Let’s work together to make the value of our unique heritage Hapkido more brilliant in the whole world.

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart.
